About Affect
Jeff Keys
I started Affect Information Systems in 2001 as a vehicle for my new career. Since
then, through Affect, I've provided software development services to a growing list
of satisfied clients.
My interest in Information Technology began in 1983 when I purchased a Commodore
64 computer and wrote my first program in BASIC. My skills with Information Systems
grew with increased access to technology and through the changes it brought to businesses
and the way we work. Like many during the 80's and 90's I helped with system deployments, reporting,
and training, despite information technology not being the focus of my
work.
In 1998, upon returning to Australia from a year volunteering in rural Vietnam,
I found that
the Internet had happened. I was excited by its possibilities for communication
and connecting people. I decided to
make a career change and worked to achieve a
Bachelor of Information Technology (2001)
and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (2002) from the University of Canberra.
I bring a blend of natural ability and practical knowledge to my work. Running Affect has matured
and developed my professional practice in parallel with the ongoing,
exciting development of the Internet
and its growing affect on our lives.
I look forward to sharing my skills and knowledge for the benefit of your project.
